President's Message

Dear members and friends,

I hope this newsletter finds all of you well and enjoying the beginning of a new breeding season.

There has been some questions regarding the club. Does F.O.R.S. still exist? yes. The club is doing very well. The delays with the newsletter have been my fault and I'm working on changing that.

March has marked our 2nd year of F.O.R.S. I have recently had enquires from our membership regarding elections. It's time for some new people to step in and make a difference.

Nominations are open as of now. Please contact our secretary Gary with the nominations. Also confirm with the person if he or she accepts your nomination. The following are the offices to be voted on. President; Vice - President/Editor, Sec/Tres, Western Director, Central Director and Eastern Director.

Club Bands

Our club still has bands available. Last year we sold-out in three weeks thanks to Mr. Mark Orme our Vice-President and Newsletter Editor. We are hoping to sell all of them again this year. The band program is not a money making venture for us. It is a service to our members. Please support it by purchasing your F.O.R.S. bands today.

F.O.R.S. International

In the last newsletter we had the honor of sharing a couple of articles from France and the Netherlands. this was quite nice to be able to have and share info from our fellow Oriental Roller fanciers in other parts of the world. I personally feel this adds a different perspective on our breed and It's also good to see that our birds and theirs are very close in size, type and color, this makes it easier to help and identify with one another.

Pageant of Pigeons 1999

This past year we had an exhibition of 18 Flying Oriental Rollers. our judge was Mr. Barac of Los Angeles, California. The exhibitioners were; Cody Taylor from Utah, and Joe Corbett from California.
